Well I was somewhat offended by the guy that held the Admin's on this site responsible for using his countdown clocks. Basically, it was the users of this site that brought them here with them thinking that they could use them freely.

So, rather than complain about it, I thought I would just build a better countdown ticker site and let everyone use them freely whereever they would like.

Yes, you can use these on any board, chat room, website; anywhere that you would like and you will never be embarrassed like the folks that brought tickers to this site.

Have fun with them and if there are any additional cruise lines that you would like to see on the site, just send me their names ENJOY!

Great move - glad I have a cruise planned to try it out!

Very nice, Tom. I used it to set up my countdown, below.

Hmmmm, I just tested it and it worked perfectly. How are you accessing it? IE, Firefox, Navigator?

At first I thought it might be some issue with my using a Mac. I tried the site with Firefox and the Mac Safari browser and got an error message when I tried to create the new ticker. I then went to my son's Windows computer with Firefox and got the same results.

The message reads: The image "http://www.cruisetickers.com/?flag=1" cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Which cruiseline banner are you trying to make? It might be a faulty banner.

I just checked on my Dell laptop using IE. That is the problem. The ticker site only works with IE as the browser.

Hmmmm, I wonder if Bill Gates had anything to do with that? VBG. Let me see what can be done about it.

IE never worked well on Mac computers. In fact Microsoft stopped supporting it.

Hmmm. They don't appear to be counting down. The time remains the same in everyone's ticker.

In trying to fix the countdown clocks, all of the tickers that were out there were negated. Until we get this thing fixed, please use another ticker. I apologize for the snafu.

The second that the site is working properly, I will let everyone know. Thanks for your patience.

OK, the ticker site is working properly and the banners are loaded. If you used one and it is not working properly, you will need to replace the code in your signature on your personal profile page.

Here is a link to the site.

Have fun!

Tom, thank you for all your work on this--it's going to be a lot of fun.
I'm sorry for asking such basic questions but I'm an absolute beginner on computers--so please bear with me;
Do I have to delete the code in my signature box before putting in the new code, and if so, how do I do it--I can't seem to get rid of it.
Secondly, how exactly do I get the new code from the ticker site to my signature box.
Thank you for being patient with a neophyte.
