This is getting exciting, if Jim can teach us craps as well-woopie, I might come back a winner. It would be great to be able to donate a percentage of a win instead of loosing! I hope we can all get together on this one, sure would be great to associate a name to a face.

Sell him on the idea that if you are away for Halloween, you can miss going to all the parties that you don't want to go to without offending anyone!

With the military and past-cruiser discounts, plus not having to fly...it really is cheaper than staying at home for 5 days! (that is if the casino can cooperate!)

This will be a good chance to put faces to names. Should be fun...better than my first cruise.

Sorry if anyone has emailed or PM'd me about the cruise and I haven't answered. I am having cable problems, and have very limited access at work to do anything. I will soon be back up and answer anyones questions. Thank You.

Sounds Great!

I would LOVE to go on this cruise!

Unfortunately, at work, I booked my vacation time in November Frown

I have been on the Inspiration in 2005 and had a great time. Make sure to get some Chilled Sweetened Mango soup as an appetizer during dinner! When in Cozumel, make sure to buy some Vanilla Extract (if you are into baking).

I really wish I could join you all Frown . Have a great time!

I wanna go! Wave August 08 is good for me. I cruise Sept 07 and May 08 so I should be free and Tampa is only 5 hours from me and I have family living there.
One problemo...when I cruise - I usually take at least 30 other people - do ya'll mind? They are great folks! Just not "cruise-chatters" ThumbUp

I hope everyone will ask all their friends, neighbors, relatives, co-workers, anyone! We are making this a fund raising cruise so the more people we get, the more we will be able to donate to a good cause. Dave and I have already discussed how cool it would be to get one of those giant checks to present to the charity.
Anyone can contact me at sailawaytravel@yahoo.com or PM me.

Actually Dwayne, you suggested that the agent's commission go to charity and then Jan came up with the charity cruise idea.

At any rate, I would think that anyone going or not going could contribute.

Dave, had it been established that the charity would be the Red Cross? If so, perhaps all those going or not going could funnel any donations through. We could get friends and neighbors to take part too.

Glitch...

DH has gotten laid off from his teaching job, something not uncommon among teachers with less than 3 years on the job. He's looking at other districts, and while it's almost a certainty he'll find something, we don't know where. And, each distict has a different calendar.

Is there a deadline for booking?

Jan will have to answer that. Actually I have no idea how many bookings have been made. I don't think it is many...which doesn't bode well for this cruise at least at this point.

Sorry to here about the layoff. Yes, that tenure thing does make it hard to stay at one school.

Thanks, Dave. As hard as it is on teachers, the worst part is leaving the kids.

Lisa, We have until April 15th. Even though the cruise is over a year away I encourage everyone to get their deposit in and hold their cabin now. Carnival could recall undeposited space at anytime if the ship starts filling up and they want unsold cabins. Hope you can make it Lisa. Jan
