I couldn't put sun glasses on the incon, as you won't see that in Alaska in September. We went around August 26, 2001 for a land-sea trip. The 3 days on land were cool but sunny, but the 7 days on the ship were rain, cold, and sleet & snow in Ketchikan. They fail to tell you the Ketchikan is the wettest city in the U.S., with over 150 inches of rain annually. We took a horse drain trolley ride around town, and they gave you blankets to wrap up in. Had the Lumber Jack show in the afternoon which we cancelled because of the terrible weather. All shore excursions that involved water were cancelled, as well as any flying excursions, namely to go to see the bears. We were definitely not prepared for it being as cold or wet as it was. Late Fall clothing would be appropriate, with heavy gloves, head coverings, and heavy shoes. We're also going back in September, but it's a Pacific Northwest-Alaska combination on Seven Seas Mariner, so it will be a little warmer for some of the trip. Have fun, but it's not like the Caribbean. Roll Eyes
