I'm 6'6" and a little concerned about some things I have heard about the the cramped accomodations on some of the cruise ships. My wife and I have been on a cruise before, to Alaska on the NCL Norwegian Sky, and I survived reasonably well, but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for, or warnings about, other cruise lines. In particular, we're looking into a northern European cruise next summer on either Celebrity or Royal Carribean.

You would have a difficult time finding smaller cabins on any mass market cruise line than those on the Norwegian Sky. Don't get me wrong....I love the ship but NCL purchased it after the super structure was completed for Costa cruises and Costa had bailed on the order (Much the same way NCL just picked up two hulls that were being built for bankrupt U.S. Cruise Lines)

If you did OK on the Norwegian Sky you will love the cabin sizes on either RCI or Celebrity. Have a great cruise! Also, all of the other NCL ships have very generous sized cabins for their service.

We just got off Celebrity Constellation for Scandinavia and Russia. Cabins were more than adequate, as were the bathrooms, with showers that you could take off the handle, and not have to fit under. It was a magnificent ship, and finishing off my review which I hope to get done by the weekend. There were lots of good size people aboard, and nobody had any problems that I know of. Would recommend a starboard balcony. You just can't go wrong with this gorgeous city on the sea. wink
