Whats up with registering your jewerly before you go on a cruise. Our brouchere says its so customs wont charge you taxes when you get back. Who do you register with? any info would be appreciated.

Good luck. We tried to register some items and it is impossible. It seems as if the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. I guess it is typical government. We went to our local customs and they were not very helpful. I think you will find it easier to pull a hen's tooth.

I never heard about registering jewelry before you go away, and I take a lot of it with me to wear on a cruise. Have never been questioned. Maybe just carry receipts with you would be sufficient. Let us know how you make out, as I have 3 cruises scheduled this year. Confused
