I just purchased trip insurance from insuremytrip.com. They represent several companies. I chose Access America because their coverage includes a missed cruise due to an employer cancelling your vacation. Anyone ever used insuremytrip.com? Any comments appreciated.

No, we usually get ours through the cruise line. It sounds good though, especially because of the company cancellation of vacations. I know there are many on the board that get their insurance through outside agencies, though.

I would read the policy for any exclusions, restrictions, or limitations. You may not get a full refund for certain scenarios with some companies.

insuremytrip.com is just the website to do an insurance comparison. Your insurance is actually booked with Access America. Access is a very reputable company. They are used by Nation wide agencies. As always read the fine print so you know exactly what is being covered.

I have used insuremytrip three times now. I am very pleased becaus eyou can quickly compare policies and find one that meets your needs.

I have not used Access America for an actual policy. But that doesn't mean its a bad choice.

We also chose Access America on our recent cruise as it seemed to afford the most coverage for a reasonable fee; and I would not travel without as it is small potatoes compared to the total costs today.

I am using "Travel Guard" on an upcoming Princess 11 day Alaska Crise/Tour. $175 pp and looks like it covers most items. Trip and insurance purchased through Crises.com znd trip starts July 4, 2009.
