Ive been reading the dress attire onboard Celebrity and they mentioned port wear. You actually have to dress a certain way for the port. Ive noticed I dont see any mention of jeans. Are they allowed?

Jeans are not suggested on most ships, and some will clearly state so in the material. Having sailed Celebrity in Europe last year, and again this summer, you would feel pretty uncomfortable in them. If you're going to Alaska, dress code is considerably "looser" all around. Hope this helps a little. Also, in Europe, if you're doing churches, palaces, museums, etc., they also have far stricter dress codes. Your brochures and shore excursion books should be able to tell you what is proper, or check with your travel agent. Confused

What about shorts? They are shorts w/ a piece a matarial in the front to give it a skirt look.

"Skorts" are permissible in the daytime, but they recommend that you keep the dress code of the evening on for the entire evening. It's so great to see the men dressed in tux's in the theater and in the Casino. Reminds me of Monte Carlo. Seeing that most men do this, it doesn't seem to bother them. Of course, women always like to stay dressed, so that doesn't appear to be an issue. We'll be away until Sunday, but if I can try to answer any other questions for you, please write back then.
