Flying to a cruise? Just remember that using a discount airline may give you problems even if you have checked in at the gate. Read what happened at my local airport here . I love the airline's response: "We do view this as an operational error on our part".

Well, the GOOD part about this story is these people didn't have to risk their lives flying on an airline so incompetent as to forget to board its passengers before taking off...

You would have to wonder if they remembered to fuel up before the took off too.

I can see it now. The pilot and first officer are in the cockpit as the plane does it's rollback. They look up at the windows in the gate area and say "I wonder why all those people are waving at us?" Roll Eyes

An update - if you have reservations with Alligiant you better check them. They just announced that the airline will cease operations at several locations within the next month or two - to include HSV which is my local airport.

Penny - I hope you got those Delta reservations!

I booked on both airlines. Allegiant leaves at 7am, if they aren't running that day, Delta leaves at 10:15. Coming back, I did the same. So hopefully, I'll get to Ft. Lauderdale and back. I'm really tempted to drive, but don't think I could go straight through any more. Since my hubby isn't going with me, I don't think I should chance it.
