We are looking to plan a family cruise for next winter. We have grandparents, parents and children ages 11 to 1 going. We want to leave from FL and are thinking about the Carribean. Because of budget we were thinking a 4-5 day cruise. Any suggestions on any particular line or cruise that would be suitable for everyone?

Asking which cruise line is best is always a question that bring out peoples passions.
Everyone has their favorite. Chose a set of ports you would like to see and then picka cruise line that gives you the best deal for those ports. Keep in mind that with a 4 to 5 day cruise your ports are going to be limited.

For the age ranges you speak of I would consider Royal Caribbean, Carnival, or NCL. All have good childern's programs. All have activities for the older ages too. You can look at the prices of each and make your choice.

If in your research you come up with questions, feel free to come back and answer them. If you can find a travel agent that is cruise centric, talk with them. But it never hurts to have done a little research on your one before you visit one so you know what to ask.

Almost all the mainstream lines will have all the ages of your multi-generational group well represented. The shorter the cruise, the younger the average age will be. Have a great vacation and post us upon your return and let us know how it went.

Cheers, Neil

Hi ahuck, and Welcome to Cruise-Chat!

Since you mentioned Budget and Age Range. I would focus on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and NCL. No particular order. Wink

I encourage you to post and ask questions anytime. Smile

Welcome aboard,

Dwayne

We are taking our third cruise with 3 family's, all ages! I think a cruise is the best way to go when your with a group of people for traveling! We have been on the Disney and the Mariner with RCCL! For us the number of nights/days/traveling dates decides what ship we end up on!! Put one person in charge of making arrangements (thats me in our family Big Grin)! We are going on the EOS W/RCCL in July. One family is not keen on Carnival so we know that isn't an option for us! Get the scoop on everyones feelings..ect. beforehand it helps to try and make everybody somewhat happy..lol!!
