Can anyone tell me if the Tampa hotels allow you to park in their lots while you take your cruise. I know that sometimes hotels will let you park for free if you stay at the hotel one night. I was hoping to stay Saturday night and catch a shuttle to the Port in Tampa Sunday. I am trying to avoid paying $10 a day at the Tampa Port Authority. Any hotel reccomendations would be appreciated.

While we haven't sailed out of Tampa, we fly out of Tampa quite often, and have to stay overnight before a flight. There are some hotels that offer park and fly programs, but we never used it, as a neighbor did it a couple of years ago, to get back to find they had no car. Luckily, it was an older car that was found very rapidly about a mile away, not looking like a car at all, stripped clean, and burned somewhat on the inside. It's worth the $10/day to have piece of mind for us. Wink
