My cabin in on Right hand side ( don't know the nautical term) which side will manhattan be on and statue of liberty when we depart. Obviously it will be the opposite when returning.

Starboard = Right side of ship
Port = Left side of ship

As you depart the harbor, Manhattan will be on your left. Lady Liberty and New Jersey will be on your right.

I'm jealous...

To add to A'ndrea's post, you will pass Manhattan first -- then, just as you reach the lower tip, cross over to starboard to see Lady Liberty and Ellis Island.

Gary, make sure you are up on deck with your camera ready when you pull out of port. It's a beautiful sight to see.
