Hi I love cruising! There is ample parking right beside the Manhattan terminals. For more information on the port, parking, and directions, click here: NY Passenger Ship Terminal

Are you staying in the area before the cruise, or driving in the same day the ship leaves? (I know NYC fairly well, and am happy to offer ideas as to what to see/do.)

Hi Lisa P! Thanks for the info. We are drivng the day before and planning to stay in Fairfield, NJ--Best Western. One thing my kids were wondering--will we pass by the Statue of Liberty? Wave

Yes, you will sail by Lady Liberty -- one of the highlights of leaving from Manhattan.

After leaving the pier, you will head down the Hudson River with NYC/Manhattan to your left, NJ to your right. After passing the tip of lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty will be on the right. So, I suggest going to an upper deck where you can easily move from one side to the other.

If it does not interfere with your dining time, stay on deck until after you've passed under the Verrazano Bridge. This is very exciting, especially from an upper deck.

cruiser, just a suggestion. Get written confirmation regarding parking price at Manhattan terminal. Many people have been told one price and then upon leaving, were told they owed the lot more.
