Such an astute observation, Mr. Chef. I am from a little community in CA called Atascadero where our number one industry is the state mental hospital.

And, while in the pink ward, what movie would you say airs the most frequently:

a. Sybil
b. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
c. The Shining

After seeing Psycho the first time, it was months before I could take a shower at night when I was in the house alone. Sure do miss Hitchcock, the amazing things he did with only black and white. Is Atascadero in northern CA?

Central California, Penny, near San Luis Obispo. Hitchcock was great. I loved "The Birds" and Tippie Hedron. She was also good in "Marnie."

Summer of Sam was a good psycho movie, too.

hmmm...don't remember Summer of Sam, Son of Sam I remember. Now I understand why I didn't recognize Atascadero. Many years ago I used to drive a tractor/trailer. We mainly delivered and picked up on the coast. Only once did we go to St. Helena, CA. I loved St. Helena and Carmel. Couldn't afford to live there then, sure can't now. Y'all are quite fortunate to be in one of the prettiest states in the union. f-mattox, I can totally understand your wife. After I found out how they got the look on Janet Leigh's face, I relaxed some. Once in a while, I still get a flashback. Eek
