We are on the Tahitian Princess Sept 1, Papeete-Honoluulu. We want to rent a car in Hilo and are wanting to know if you can pick up a car at the pier? or do you need to plan on going to the airport? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!

Hilo is a fairly large commercial port with very tight security. I don't recall seeing any rental agencies. But it is very near the airport and I don't think it would be difficult to arrange to have a car delivered to you at the dock.
