If you're fearful of going even before you book, how much pleasure do you think you'll get from such a cruise? Being uptight on a cruise kind of defeats the purpose. Aren't there other places in the world that are as alluring as this itinerary without the worry factor? With that said, I'd book it in a heartbeat. I've never been but would love to visit Dubai. It's one of the most prosperous and modern cities in the world. The development there is amazing. One that caught my eye is a community built on a man made island that looks like a palm tree from the air. Has housing, businesses, hotels, roads, all on this island of fingers out at sea. If you go, don't be fearful, be excited. If you can't get past being fearful look for a different itin.

Neil, Not really fairful but more curious. Only place I've been that I was just a tad in a hurry to leave was sitting in the airport a Vic Falls! I did read the article about Dubai a year ago in the Nat Geo and that is what got it all started. I'll let you know how it is.
