We would be sailing with Carnival. I will be 5 months pregnant and we have a DD who will be just barely 3. So we are looking for some slower excursions, city tours, hanging out on the beach type things. Which do you think would be more fun for us?

Cabo, Mazatlan, and La Paz

or

Acapulco, Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa and Mazanillo

If you haven't been before, I would lean more towards the Cabo, La Paz and Mazatlan itinerary. It is a much closer sail, yet still Mexico and an adventure.

Just my opinion.

Of the 2, I would also recommend the Cabo, Mazatlan, La Paz itin. These ports are all about hanging out at the beach, leisure city tours and laid back excursions.

Far be it from me to disagree with two administrators with 4680 combined posts; but I agree anyway. I've been sailing the Mexican Riviera for 30 years and I wouldn't want my pregnant daughter-in-law walking around Acapulco or Zihuatanejo.
Have a wonderful cruise, and congratulations!

EGADS. 5 month pregnant and traveling with a 2-3 yr old? I would agree with the others who suggest avoiding Acapulco, and being a father, I think your idea of the beach is a great family excursion. But, thinking of all the logistics of taking a todler on a ship makes me happy I am old and retired (smile).
