Hi Whickey, and congratulations on your upcoming marriage.

There are so many wonderful things to do in Hawaii. On Maui, we've taken the van ride up to the top of Haleakala, a dormant volcano at 10,000', and bicycled back down again. We've kayaked in Kauai. We've visited Volcano National Park and watched people throw chickens into the dormant volcano as a sacrifice. We've rented a car on a couple of islands and visited beaches, went snorkeling, walked on lava that recently covered a road, walked on black sand beaches. We saw waterfalls, did some shopping, saw a rainforest.

There are zip line rides all over the place, lots of hiking, waterfalls -- the real question is, what do YOU like to do? There are a lot of things offered from sightseeing on a bus to much more active activities, golf, fishing, etc. Whatever you like to do, you can do it in Hawaii, in gorgeous surroundings.

Hey Whickey, depends on the islands. We have spent a week on Maui and one week on Oahu. Definitely agree with Sandy about Haleakala. You won't be able to do a sunrise if its part of a cruise; too early. On Oahu, definitely go to Pearl Harbor on the tour and/or spend some time at the cultural village if time allows.
Either way, you'll have a great time.

try this site: 101thingstodo.com
they have activities for all the islands.

the whales should be arriving for thier winter stay in maui, they come mid november, give birth and stay till april...the whale watching boats sometimes get delayed so dont go out on one near the end of your stay...it seems when they are close to the boat the boats arent allowed to start up and leave because it might bother the protected whales...if your 2 hour whale watching trip goes well it could take 4 hours.
