Hi everyone,
I'll be taking my first cruise with my wife in Mid November. I was wondering if there are "fun stuff" to do within the walking distance from the ports (Acapulco, Zihuatanejo, Porto Valarta, Cabo San Lucas). From my readings it seems that almost everyone recommend taking a taxi somewhere else, so I was wondering if the things next to the ports are even worth the visits?

Also, I'd like to know the best way to experience these items, I was wondering if I should book them through NCL or just take a cab:

Cliff Divers
Lover's Beach
The "Arc"

Thanks a lot!

Hey JY have you checked out the information Nancy and Tom have provided at Port Reviews? They have lots of suggestions for those ports and there are also lots of reviews by other cruisers. All the things you listed can all be done easily on your own.

Thanks! Looks like NCL charges lot more for something that can be done by taxi. I just saved myself a lot of money not booking the excursions!
