Thanks A'ndrea for all of your support and just remember...I'll be the first in line to buy that tour book your working on!!! I am definitely beyond excited and just wish I could wiggle my nose and have my bags all packed already! Yikes...don't even know where to start! But I have my lists and I will be checking them twice...and a third time...and maybe a fourth!

I will let you all know how it goes...looks like we will have some rain in Mazatlan & PV....but Cabo looks nice and SUNNY!

Don't worry. Storm fronts are in and out on the islands. If all else fails, drink!

Make sure you post your photos when you get home.

HELLLLOOOOO and yes we made it back. Sadly we are back on the land...yet as I sit and type...the room is still swaying. I will have to collect all my thoughts and between Terry and I, we should give you all quite a complete review.

First off-and speaking for my entire family-and want to extend our deepest thanks to Terry, Lynda and Tyler for helping make our family vacation a very memorable one. We feel like we have sincerely met some life long friends and are glad we were able to spend each and every moment with your family. You truly are special people and well all I can say at this point is...YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!! We have some awesome memories to talk about for MANY years to come. Can't wait until next summer when we join you in your neck of the woods and see what trouble we can get ourselves in!

Well Terry and the family should be leaving the airport shortly...my brother has already taken Mark and Kyle golfing...so Tyler and I have started tackling the laundry!

I will post a review as soon as we get back home...but in the meantime....the ship was really great...the food was more than I remembered (even though I lost most of it last night from being sea sick-VERY bad seas last night) but most of all the companying was OUTSTANDING!!!!

Cynthia - We are still in SoCal visiting my brother. We have been busy hanging out at the beach!

I can give you a "readers digest" version on my review!

Everything went well at the port when we arrived. And we waived goodbye as the porter took all 9 BAGS. (I packed alot...but in the end used alot too!) We were running late but were able to get through checkin at the QM around 10:30 with no problems and very quickly. My brother had brought us down to the port and waited with us until they started to line up in Zone 1. Kyle met another 13 yr old in line and ended up hanging out all cruise...so that was nice!

The ship was beautiful and very "user friendly". It was easy to locate things after using the little ship map for a day or two. We actually hit alot of yucky weather on the way down due to the Tropical Storm Juliette. But it was mostly overcast-grey skies, off and on drizzle, a little wind and humidity the first day or two.But we still swam and had a good time. The food was very good and for the most part I like Jeff Bronson. He did a good job keeping everyone informed and entertained.

Puerto Vallarta - We took a taxi to Sea Life Park and it was a hot day. Kyle had a blast with the Dolphin swim and then we both did the Sea Lion Swim. Really no swimming involved...but we did get a nice encounter. A few of the slides were open so we did get to do a few of those. Wasn't overly impressed by the park in general...but most of it was closed and of course like the ship they overcharged for the pictures they had taken. We got back to the ship and had dinner - put Tyler in Camp Carnival (which is AWESOME and he enjoyed every minute there!) Kyle took off with his now "gang" of friends and Mark and I met Terry and Lynda down at the little restaurant right off the ship for some well deserved beers! It was nice to sit and talk and then we enjoyed a nice electrical storm. We headed back when the rain started! As we cruised up to Mazatlan we enjoyed the most spectacular light show I have ever seen. Thunder and lightening all around us...which the lightening even hit the ship. Terry can give you more details of that since his family was in VERY close proximatey of that!!!

Mazatlan - Not a very attractive port. We decided to enjoy a trolley tour with Terry, Lynda & Tyler. It took us to the cliff divers, the Cathedral, around town and did some very QUICK shopping and our group decided to take a quick trip across the street to the beach. Tyler T. & Tyler M. had entirely too much fun together and well...I think were twins in some otherr life time! By the time we got back to the dropoff we were all starving and I think it was more of a fend for yourselves at that point. Half stayed and shopped alittle and others went back to eat! Wasn't impressed at all with Mazatlan - but we were only really taken were the trolley took us. I did enjoy seeing the sites though since we had never been there. It wasn't bad for an overcast day.

Now I cannot even express how overjoyed I was to wake up Friday morning to go out on our balcony and see Lovers Beach the Los Arcos. How beautiful! We had a quick breakfast - as 3 other cruise ships were coming in - met up with Terry and family and headed over to Cabo. Nothing but beautiful sites here! Lynda and I picked a tour with a glass bottom boat guy and he took us out to Lands End...we saw the Sea Lions, Lovers Beach, some fish...and yes, even the Scooby Doo rock. Must admit...the family still is talking about that one!!! The boat let us off right at Medano Beach, we had the first row of chairs, a bucket of beer before we knew it and everyone hit the water. It was a perfect day here at Cabo. We rented some boogie boards and Mark ended up getting a jet ski for a bit. It was fun too! Had some confusion with the water taxi pickup - but unsure if that was our fault for changing the time when he came back too early...or his for not coming back on his own! But I found another guy to get us back over to the Marina and we headed to town for a quick bite to eat...a quick run through town to Cabo for a even quicker photo and a literal RUN back to the marina where we caught the second to last tender back to the ship. We have all decided we are going back to Cabo though...and wish we could have just spent 3 days there!

It seems as if the last two days is a big blurr. They went by so quickly and everytime we turned around we were late for something or missed something else. There is definitely alot to do and you just can't do it all. The last day at sea started to get really rough mid day and just got worse from there. By dinner time alot of people were getting up from their tables because it was so incredibly rough. I ended up trying to pack and well simply unload my last weeks worth of meals and drinks all at once. I was sick most of the night which made packing up an entire cabin fairly difficult. And yes, we had one HUGE wardrobe bag that had broken when it was deliverd so...that puppy was bungeed and duct taped together and our ghetto luggage sat proudly in the hall that night! So pack those bungees and that duct tape. It definitely comes in handy!!!!

We met with Terry, Lynda & Tyler for breakfast the next morning and waited until the last numbers were called. We enjoyed some last minute photos around the ship and just taking our time to get off. By the time we got down there the luggage was very easy to find and really a verry quick process through customs. We even got those passports stamped. Wasn't going to pay for those things and not get a stamp!!! The Tyler twins waved their goodbyes...and hopefully we will be joining their famiy next summer up in Vancouver! Terry and Mark have some more drinking to do!

I am sure I have forgotten a million things...hopefully Terry and Lynda can add their thoughts and if I remember more I will add! Overall I am very happy with everything and would love to cruise again. But I would love to go experience Cabo by land for sure!

Ok After being sick for two days I am feeling somewhat better. Have had zero balance since we got home. Anyways heres my 2 cents.
Arrived at LAX at about 11 am our driver met us at luggage ( we rented a Lincoln town car with driver from Prime Time) The ride to the pier was nice and relaxing and straight there.Arrived at the pier at 12:30 dropped our luggage with a porter and got in line.Got on the ship before 2 and foung our room. Went up to the lido and found our Cruise Critic friends and had a drink.
The first day at sea was rainy and cold the next day was far better and we spent most of the day playing at the pool.

Day 3 was Puerto Vallarta ,seeing as we have been there many times we did our own thing. We took a taxi ( $6 ) to the malecon and walked to Los Muertos beach and stopped at the Burros Bar.
Lynda and Tyler shopped with the vendors while I drank beer. Later While Lynda still shopped Tyler and I played in the ocean. After dinner we left the ship again and had drinks with Mark and Michele right by the ship.Michele is right the storm was the most intense lightning I had ever seen. Later back on the ship Lynda Tyler and I were on deck ten near the bow when the lightning hit the ship just above our heads.Lynda got some good video of it.

Day 3 was at mazatlan and as Michele said we took the trolley tour. I guess it was ok but wanted to spend more time on the beach and less time shopping. Sadly Mark and Michele did not see the best of Mazatlan .We have stayed there in the past and know it has more to offer than what we saw.
Day 4 was by far the best. I was up as we pulled into Cabo still dark I was able to watch the sun rise as we moved into position.I really can't add to what Michele has already said but that the beach was clean and the water very clear.

Last day at sea was a packing and squeeze in what we could day Tyler got to spend one last day at Camp Carival and we spent more time with our new freinds.

I would not hesitate to book Carnival again as we were treated very well. Food was good as was the service all around the ship. Most of all the kids were treated very very well, because of this I will not hesitate to take Tyler again. The only bitch I have is US immigration really needs some work, 1 line for non US citizens made for a very long wait.We got in line at the same time as Mark and Michele and we were almost an hour longer.

Meeting Mark and Michele relly made our holiday,it was like we had known each other for years. They are very good people and I hope to holiday more with them in the future.

I am sure I will think of more to add later

Terry

ps. Mark we need to drink some more beer together
