jhyatt,
Depends on your cruise itinerary. Your best bet is to take a Mexican Riviera cruise out of LA or SAN. There are some good surf spots that are reachable from the ports in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. Of course there is always a Hawaii cruise.

Tom Ogg is our resident surf expert and I am sure he can provide more details.

How about a cruise to the Maldives? I have been told by a friend that is into surfing that is a great spot and wants me to look into a cruise that ports there. Anyone know of a cruise line that might fit the bill?

Two specific itineraries come to mind. First, Celebrity's Mercury does a deep Mexican Riviera itinerary that is like a total surf cruise. There are waves in every port, especially, Cabo, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta and Zihuatanejo.

The other would be the Tahitian Princess in Tahiti. There are waves on every island on the itinerary and there is quality (point/pass) surf.

Hope that helps.
