It really depends on how many of you there are. Taxis run about $60 (plus tip) and I think that is the best way to go. Supper Shuttle offers a per persopn rate, but becomes a hassle if you have to wait or transfer to meet them. (Just my opinion). Most cruise lines will offer transfers from Fort Lauderdale to Miami, but then taxis offer the maximum of convenience.
Hope that helps.

We are flying into FLL the day before the cruise and are renting a midsize car from Thrifty Car Rental for $31/day. There are four of us and we are driving to Miami, will have the car for the evening. Then the next morning, we return the car to Miami Airport Thrifty and they have a free shuttle to the pier. Can't beat that. It would be about $70 just for the taxi to Miami and then about $10-15 the next day for a taxi to the pier. This way, we are getting it much cheaper as well as having the availability of a car for the evening. We think that's a great plan.
I regret waiting so long to book my transfer, but here it is the day before and I havn't arranged it yet, so I booked a limo. They charge 65.00 and 20% gratuity. I heard you can book a transfer from your travel agent, or through the cruise line for cheaper..
Linsk, the limo sounds great! They will be waiting for you and will whisk you to the terminal. You made a wise choice. You may have saved a few bucks by doing a motorcoach transfer with 40 of your closest friends, but you are on vacation. Why not enjoy yourself?
Have a great cruise!
