Hi Shari. Have you received an answer to your question about which bus route to take? While I haven't taken either, a lot will depend on the weather that day--view from Cadillac Mountain isn't much if it's fogged in.

We've decided to do the free bus route 3 and 5. I thought you had been there so I had a question about some of the stops it makes etc. Oh well, everything else on our cruise is DONE! We're down to just this one day at Arcadia. I'm soooo excited.1. We leave in 4 1/2 months and 2. I just found out on Mother's Day I'm gonna be a grandma in November!
We've been to Acadia NP a few times... once by car (not really an option on a cruise), and another via ship excursion. Other times, we just walked (not hiked) through parts of it. But, I've never taken the bus, so I'm anxious to hear about your experience when you return. I can still try to answer questions on the stops, though.

My question is We want to get off the bus at a few places and possibly walk to the next location if they are close enough. For example Can we walk from Sand Beach to ThunderHole? Any idea how long of a walk? What is there at Sr De Monts is there a half hour of stuff there to wait for the next bus? We'll be there Oct 4th Will a sweater be warm enough? Have you eaten at the Jordon Pond Rest? We are elated to have a grandchild! I have the "framed-sonogram" picture next to my bedside as a constant reminder to pray for this new blessing.
cousins, sorry, but I don't have answers to this one. Distances are very hard to judge by car or bus, which is how we made all of our trips to those points. Hopefully, someone in the know will come by.
