I booked our cruise on the Mariner of the Seas last night. Does anyone know of a good, clean, reasonably priced hotel in Cape Canaveral? By rasonably priced I mean around $100.00. A little more would be fine. A little less would be even finer. We're planning to stay just one night.

Thanks to all of you who helped me make the decision to leave out of Cape Canaveral. And thanks to those who offered their opinions of ships that left from Miami. I felt like I had three choices, and I could not go wrong. I really do appreciate your help.

You actually have a number of choices. If you are planning to rent a car in Orlando to drive to Port Canaveral, there a number of good hotels that offer park & cruise packages (free parking/shuttle service to and from port). As an example, right now the Radisson Retreat at the Port runs about $139 and the Best Western Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach goes from $79-$109 depending on dates. There is also a Hampton Inn that is nice and offers special cruise deals. Just make sure when contacting any of these properties that you ask about their cruise specials.

BTW - Good choice, you are going to love the Mariner.

Marian ,We sail on The Mariner on 9-11 (easy to remember that date !!) We booked with the Radisson and they are very reasonable . We will be driving down the day before . They will let you park your car while you are away and that can save you over 100 dollars .
