Hallo,

ich brauche hier mal fachkundigen Rat. Ich habe von einem Buch gehört namens

"The White Ships - In ihe Grand Manner of Matson"

Frown

Kann mir jemand helfen?

Hello from Canada (sorry, I don't speak Deutsch!) I'm delighted to see there is interest in "The White Ships" in Europe. It is nearing completion, and should be available sometime later this year, timed just ahead of Matson's 125th anniversary in 2007. I will post updates on whiteships.com regarding availability, and welcome questions, information or photos of the ships.

Hi White Ships,
thanks for your reply!

I thought that book was already available - guess I've been hard of hearing. Big Grin

During the last year, I've been able to collect a few nice items on those Matson Liners - well, most is from their times as Chandris or Home Line vessels, but I am lucky enough to call a very nice deck plan of the LURLINE dating from Nov 1940 my own one!

So I am very much looking forward to purchasing that book - those vessels have been amongst the finest and most beautiful ever built.

By the way, no need to excuse for not speaking German - I know a lot of Germans who can't either! (Isn't that sad?! Roll Eyes )

Best regards
Dirk
