Hello Fellow Cruisers, I am cruising on the MSC Lirica on December 3 for 10 nights. I need info and casual dress. I am 50 but I like to wear shorts and blouses or T shirts. Is that ok on this cruise line. I have cruised with Royal Caribbean before and the dress code suited me fine. I know there will be two formal dining nights on this cruise. What is the tolerated dress for this. When I am on vacation I hate to get all dressed up to go eat every night. I am going with another 50 year old friend and a 76 year old friend. She (76 yr old) is driving me nuts about the way I dress. Are shorts and jeans tolerated at all times or what. All the info I can get, will be greatly appreciated. I just want to be comfortable and enjoy myself. It is not often I get to go on a 10 day cruise.

This is from their website: "Casual resort wear is appropriate at any time.
After 6:00pm, jeans, t-shirts, shorts, and bare feet are not permitted in the ships' public areas.
A cocktail dress for women and a suit or coat and tie for men are appropriate on formal evenings (one on 4- to 6-night cruises, two on 7- to 11-night cruises, and four on cruises 15 nights or longer)." So no shorts and jeans after 6pm.
You don't have to worry about it. MSC is quite a classic cruise line, but no more than that. So no freestyle dining, but informal breakfast and lunch. Clothes are just the things wich they want you to wear, and most people will do on the formal nights. At daylight they will wear T-shirts as well.
