I've done 18 cruises and I am cruising with my daughter in Oct on Disney. I cruise alot and am looking forward to something different. If you have been before and cruise alot, I would like your input and what is so wonderful about disney cruise line verses other. I already know the price is much more. What great things can I expect.
Disney characters, disney themed restaurants, great children's programs, no casino, disney themed private island, great service, decent food, clean ship. Have a wonderful cruise!
You can expect all the things that Penny333 mentioned. But the thing that I was most pleased with was that Disney had crew members standing in front of all the restaurants handing out sanitary hand wipes to everyone before they entered the food areas. But as mush as I was pleased by that I still can't bring myself to pay the extra cost for that again, at least not in the very near future. Have a safe and fun cruise!
OOOOppppps, sorry Penny3333. I owe you a 3 from my previous post, Is it ok if I pay you one at a time though? Sought of like a payment plan, I figure I owe everyone else so I may as well owe you also. Well heres 1 of the three I owe you. What's life without a laugh here and there. Have a safe and fun cruise all!!!
I have only been on one Disney cruise and I will never go again. Sure, it was a great cruise. Good food, excellent entertainment, and very clean ship. The only negatives that I have: 1)too many kids (should have known) 2)It's very depressing to step out of the shower to you're wife singing "It's a Small World."

You can also expect rotating dining, Disney movies shown in the theatre, and Disney themed shows for the nightly entertainment. You can expect to be announced by name when you enter the ship on the first day. Disney has adult areas on the ship and on their private island. I have been on Disney three times. While there are a lot of children Disney does an excellent job at keeping the children busy.
The travel channel aired a segment last night entitled the "Dos and Donts of Cruising." While they featured most major lines, the focus was clearly on Disney. From the things things that were discussed, it seems like you will have an excellent time. This is an interesting fact...Disney is the only cruise line allowed to show fireworks. That is pretty cool!
Another unique thing was the rotating dining. I think someone already mentioned that though. Also, the adults and children have separate pools. Also if you take your children, they will be more than occupied with various age appropriate activities. The parents are supplied with a pager when the children are ready to be picked up or there is a problem.
All of this to say, the Disney cruise is expensive but seems to be worth it from the information I have received so far. I would do more research though.
