My parents made a river cruise on this almost new ship and they loved it. The service and food has been very good up to excellent, the tours were a little bit too exhausting for an older couple and they were very lucky with the weather in april.
They can highly recommend this ship and the itinerary, starting in Passau.

Hello lior,

welcome at cruise-chat.com
What kind of information do you need on SWISS TIARA ?

The vessel is new, owned by Scylla Tours from Basel and chartered by Plantours & Partner from Germany, performing cruises on the Rhine, Main and Danube. A very nice rivership, with the excellent quality which Scylla Tours is offering on all their ships !
Itineraries and cruise-staff come from Plantours.

Best regards,
Patrick Wetter

Lior,

Where did you book the cruise you´re talking about (or where do you want to book this cruise)?

As Patrick stated the MS SWISS TIARA is chartered by Plantours + Partner which is a German cruise operator plying the German market only. So usually you won´t find any international guests on their ships (except Austria and Switzerland maybe). And I don´t think that there will be any English announcements on those cruises.

There are some gaps in the schedule of the Swiss Tiara and she might be chartered to another tour operator during that time.

If the ship is chartered to another tour operator then it depends on this company whether there is English speaking crew aboard. But if you can book this ship through an English tour company I´m quite sure that there´s English speaking staff aboard.

Lior,

So I assume you´ve booked with Plantours + Partner. It´s listed on their website with more information about the itinerary

http://www.plantours-partner.de/plantours_und_partner/b...ID=454&ReiseSchiff=5

Here´s some more information about the ship

http://www.plantours-partner.de/ms-swiss-tiara/index.php?&PID=

And this is the website of the company owning the ship with some more photos

http://www.scylla-tours.ch/dynasite.cfm?dssid=4392&dsmid=1458&schiffs_id=15

Unfortunately all websites are in German only.

I´m sure that most of the crew will more or less understand and speak English. But I doubt that there are any other English speaking passengers aboard (meaning no native speaker, sure many of the passengers may speak English).

Lior,

River cruises are mainly focused on an elder crowd. There are only a few lines out which are focusing on younger passengers or families (EasyCruise2, A´Rosa, maybe Nicko). So expect an average age of 55++.

lior,

please note that using ALL CAPS is considered shouting on the internet and makes it more difficult to read your posts.
