Would you all think that for a honeymoon cruise the Seabourne Spirit would be way too old of a crowd for us? Let's say I found a great deal, should I got for it even if we may be 30 years younger than the next youngest couple there?

If you received a good deal, definitely. You might be pleasantly surprised by the mix of ages on board. We've only been on HAL, NCL, RCL, Costa, Carnival, and Princess, but there has always been a great mix of age groups, even on 14 day or longer cruises. Since y'all will be on your honeymoon, I doubt the ages of your fellow passengers will make much of a difference!

If you have an opportunity to cruise on Seabourne, DO IT!!

I think way too much is made of the age difference on some cruise lines. Sure, a bunch of party animals are not going to feel at home on Holland America; but older people, especially some of those that cruise, have had, and are having very interesting lives and have much of interest to converse about.

Just realize you are going to be spoiled for any other cruise line after that.

And by the way, congratulations!

I'd go on the Seaborne cruise at the drop of the hat! You will definitely run into some "well-healed" people, some of which just might be looking for a new corporate executive at the time! You can never know too many people, especially rich, successful ones! Smile

I sailed the Seabourn Pride in 1995, and not everyone was a senior. Some were in their 40s. The one thing they seemed to all have in common was a lot of money!

Seabourn has added more casual dining options since I was onboard. It used to be very dressy. You can't beat the service, and the fact that everything is included, drinks, the first couple of bottles of booze in your room, caviar, etc.
