I have started to learn more about these tragic but beautiful liners and their demise... does anyone know if there are any pictures in existance of their time in Iran as well as final fate ?

I haven't seen any pictures from the vessels' final years. These were very nice ships, indeed. Too bad they faced such an end - and way too early...

the only picture I'm aware of you can find in William H. Miller's "Picture History of the Italian Line 1932 - 1977", page 128. There the remains of Michelangelo are shown on Gadani Beach (summer 1991).
