My wife and I are considering a windjammer cruise in March 2008. Has anyone had any experience that they can share? My wife is concerned that it will be a party every night and not relaxing. Thanks for your input.

Be very careful at this time. Windjammer seems to be in severe financial trouble. Evidently, they have been unable to pay their crews for several months and passengers were given no warnings. Some of the ships have also begun to experience problems from lack of maintenance. The Burke family says that they have sold the line to someone else who will bail (literally) the ships out. For the time being, the crews have abandoned the ships in whatever port they were in. Local governments have seized the ships. You might want to consider sailing with Star Clippers.
