I have brought two bottles of wine on several occasions with no issues. There is no guarantee that they won't take one away next time though. As for harder stuff I always buy the drinks onboard. we have brought as many as 5 bottles per person (I know sham, sham you all know my name) with not issues. You have to be prepard for them to take them however.
