I am new tot he cruising thing and i have done much research and booked a cruise on the Carnival Valor. Is this a good ship and does anyone have any pictures? What hotels should I stay at in miami? Does anyone know any info on the terminals Carnival uses in Miami. If anyone has an info on this ship or has been on in I would love your input. Thank You! Ben
I was on the Valor last July and absolutely loved it. The cruise director was Chris Jefferson and he had wonderful energy. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Airport West. They had a free shuttle from the Airport and to the Cruise Port. They also had a nice restaurant upstairs.
Thanks. Please give us more details after you cruise out of there. What we are debating is driving there the morning of the cruise or staying the night before. S0 we are looking for a cheaper hotel with a shuttle or free parking.

Ben, When I sail out of Maimi I stay in Ft Lauderdale. The hotel rates and the airfare were much better when I was doing it. There are still shuttles to the Maimi Cruise Port and back again or you can do taxies. Either way we found it less expensive overall. We stayed in a Comfort Inn and I can't remember exactly where but it was very good. It was next to a Hampton inn. We also were in a Roadway which was bad and a friend was in the Best Western which we also do not reccomend. We have not sailed out of Maimi in several years but I remember the Port being well organized.
