I have no idea what MrOctober is talking about. Ernesto with last update has more of a track toward Wilmington, and NC. I am still getting my pepper plants inside etc. just in case.

Ernesto is almost directly offshore from me to the east. Getting heavy wind and rain and lightning and power flickers.
The wind and rain come in bands all at once and then stops and starts again. I am glad this booger did not get back to hurricane strength as Ernesto seems to have a bad disposition for such a little storm

We fared pretty good during the storm, we saw on TV where N Myrtle Beach was getting soaked from around 11:30 yesterday morning until the late hours. We had small gusts of wind, lots of rain, but nothing like what you got. Glad Enesto has moved on, but sorry for those in his path at this time.
Glad to hear you did well. It really did not get that bad. I did not care for the close lightning and the screen porch carpet is soaked. The wind around 10:30 did actually get strong enough to start spinning the ceiling fan on the porch and turn over a plastic chair. The power never did go totally out, it just flickered causing the microwave and coffee pot to beep. and the computer re-booted once.
From what I have seen today was much worse when came on shore through NC and VA and they have a lot of flooding.
Of course when I say not bad you have to consider I have never left Horry Co. for a hurricane, and am the Idiot that rode out Hugo at the Holiday Inn Waccammaw with the State Troopers and CNN
So to me was just a breezy night. I do feel bad and thought about today all the people that were without power and flooded. There was something wicked about this storm. I have had Cat. 1 hurricanes come as close with no lightning and much less rain and wind.
My condo is only about 12 feet above high tide in the marsh, and after seeing and grieving for New Orleans..Cat. 3 and I am out of here!
Wisdom does seem to come with age

Oh how well I remember Hugo, a 100 year old oak tree slammed on top of our house..with us in it.., but we fared quite well...just $15,000 damage to hour home, it never even shook the foundation of the house, so I figured our 140 year old home will withstand most storms, we were without power for over 5 days though.
I have been keeping an eye on it also. As you know we are now in the most active weeks. If they make it as far west to Puerto Rico and same latitude without a north turn I start getting nervous. They do have it projected to turn north before then, and the computer models have greatly improved the last few years. But they are not always correct.

Is weird, as September is my favorite month otherwise. I guess you heard they lowered the hurricane forecasts
Thanks for the picture, forgot how bad that storm really was. By the way, my birthday is also in September..9th...guess you can add it to the list of September things to remember...only make it a good thing...lol.
