In Nassau, I would go to Atlantis on Paradise Island. You can tour the main parts of the hotel without charge and there is a free beach next to the Atlantis. There is also the straw market, the queen's staircase, and the turtle farm. I believe they offer a swim with the dolphin excursion there as well. In St. John, Trunk Bay is awesome. It is one of the top 10 beaches in the world, and deservedly so. White sand beach, about the consistency of baby powder, with shade available. There is a self-guided snorkeling tour about 50 yards from shore. Fresh water showers, a snack bar, a couple of shops, lockers, and a place to rent snorkel equipment. Take a camera for some beautiful pictures, not only of Trunk Bay, but the ride to/from. St. Maarten is good for shopping. The last time we were there we did an America's cup race. What a hoot, a bunch of novices sailing a racing yacht--way fun!! Best wishes!!
I am also leaving on October 14th from Port Canaveral. If anyone has been on the Glory, and has had a Suite in 11 class, please let me know how the suite looks, and does it really have a whirlpool tub and is it nice? I have cruised with Carnival five times on the Conquest and would like to know how this ship compares to the Conquest and the quality of suite 11 room on the Empress deck. Thanks. Also, if there are any single, black men ages 27-35 on this cruise let me know. I am a single, black, professional 26 yr old female that will be on this cruise. Thanks
