I've sailed the Triumph twice and am planning another for Feb 09. While it is an older ship by todays standards, I was impressed with the amoount of pride the crew had in her. There is one BIG plus starting late Sept08 and that is a brand new show called the Big Easy. If you enjoy the big productin shows this shold be a dandy. About New Orleans of course. I am not sure but if Kevin and Caruso are still playing her I think this is far and away thye best Magic show I've seen on the seas. Clever, funny, interactive, and very good illusions.

I was on the Triumph with a group of 20 last November, and we had a great time and great service. The group coordinator on the Triumph was the best one I have worked with, and she was brand new to the job. The only person who could use a bit of help in the service department was our main waiter, but others at different tables had great waiters. Food was always good, and the ship was spotless.

We were on the backlash of Hurricane Hugo, and I found the staff great to those of us who got seasick. In addition, we had a medical emergency about 90 min. after leaving San Juan, and the Capt. kept us informed of what was going on both with our having to go back and our being late to the next port.

In other words, I think the Triumph was great.

Thanks so much, it sometimes is confusing when trying to choose a cruise! We have gone on Carnival 6 times and Royal Carib. once..I keep going back to Carnival. RC just didn't seem as lively and the rooms were small. Maybe we just weren'tlooking in the right places haha..would love to get nerve to try her again or another lines. But until then I guess I will be on CCL

Been on the triumph twice. Loved the ship, I would suggest a balcony at the rear of the ship facing back. They are twice as big as the ones on the sides and the same price.
