There is no difference. Both are Fantasy-class ships and I don't believe either has had the 'Evolutions Of Fun' modification to the pool deck performed yet.

I have been on both ships. They are virtually identical as Dave noted. The decor and theme should be the only difference. They were both refurbished in 2006. I am thinking about going on the Fascination out of JAX next year. Just waiting on the drydock schedule to be released about the Evolutions of Fun completion.

As a orignal guest on the maiden voyage of the Sensation in Nov.1993 I have to say that both ship are identical in the way they do everything even back then. I have also been a crewmate on the Ecxtasy in 1995 and what a difference between ships. Personally I would stick with either the Fascination or Sensation

I bet that was an experience! What Dept. did you work in?

I know is off topic, but it is always interesting to hear from past crew members.

I was in the kitchen for the 2 1/2 years that I was on the Ecxtasy. I'm a registerd Journeyman Chef with Red, Blue & Gold seals. I had just finished working in Georgetown for 6 yrs when I was accepted as staff on the Ecxtasy. So some of the awesome ice and fat carvings were probably mine, as well as the fruit and seafood displays.
Would I do it again - you bet I would

Hi Dave, (canuckcrusiers)

Wow! I have not sailed on the Ecstasy yet. I must say that I have admired and appreciated all of the carvings on the ships over the years. I can't figure out how they do it sometimes! I hope you remember some of those Carnival recipes. We have alot of Foodies on the forum that would probably love to ask. Smile

Dwayne

We are headed out on the Ecstacy in Sept.

Can't wait!!

As for the original question, I would do which ever ship was the Evolutions of Fun done on them first and then go!!

We just sailed on the Imagination and it was like sailing on a new ship.

very nice!!

It has been like pulling teeth to get the Evolutions of Fun completion schedules. Does anyone know the dates for the Fascination or Sensation?

Still no dates on the Fascination, Sensation, Ecstasy or Elation yet.

Fantasy 9/06/08-10/03/08
Paradise 12/01/08-12/14/08

I wonder if the Paradise drydock is the Evolutions of Fun since it is only 2 weeks.

The EOF takes a month to do.

LHP, I can't figure that one out. Since she hasn't had a drydock for 2 years, it would seem they wouldn't have time to add everything.
