Wondering how to get to the Blue Lagoon. I can't find where CCL offers a excursion to the island. Looking for some information on what the island is like as well. Thank You

Unfortunetly Carnival no longer offers the Blue Lagoon as an excursion to the island itself. They still offer the Dolphin Swim though.

Hi Sue, Please post back if you get any updated information. The Blue Lagoon was the first shore excursion I ever took on a cruise and loved it. Smile

I spoke to Carnival and they said I wold have to find my own way. I did read somewere that I could get a boat to take us there at the ferry terminal between the two bridges that link Paradise Island and Nassua..I wonder how dependable they would be as far as picking us up on time?????????

I know the one you are referring to. I had comped passes once, but we were re-routed. Let me see if I can find the info. somewhere. I will PM you if I can find it. You have my interest up about this. At one point I thought they had closed the island itself due to storm damage, except for the dolphin area. When they use to offer the excursion years ago it consisted of lunch (awesome) and full use of the island. They had showers, a shop, and a tiki bar.

I wonder if anyone has taken this private excursion as well, and what it consisted of.

We were there on our first cruise -- 18 years ago. The island was then operated by Premier Cruise Line. It was absolutely beautiful, I recall. This is where I learned to snorkel. Ah, memories.

A few years later, a storm came by and turned one island into two...

Anyway, you might also find information on it by Googling its proper name, Salt Cay. Good luck!

Happy cruising,
LisaP

That is where I learned to snorkel too! Big Grin

The lagoon was a perfect place to practice. It was 15 years ago. First time I had Bahamian rice and peas too. I love the memories. Smile

I found this info page. I can't vouch for the info though.
