Hello everyone
Been surfing all of thew posts and now we have a question to ask. Once you have decided to select a meal time, can you change it before you leave the port? We are scheduled for the late sitting and now with the new pilot trial starting it would be alot easier for us to go to the new siting than the reguarly scheduled one. If anyone knows if this is possible or how it could be accomplished - the info would be greatly appreciated

Thx everyone

The best thing to do is to immediately contact your Travel Agent. They can make the change request. Since you are still 5 weeks out, it might go through. Since the program doesn't start until the June 29th sailing, there has not been any feedback yet, regarding if it can be changed the first day with the Maitre'D. What I read was, that those that pre-reserve the "Classic Reserved Dining" may not reserve the "Open Seating" times. It seems vague about this.

Just so we don't confuse anyone. We are discussing the new Pilot Program for Open Seating in the Main Dining Room on the Legend. There is another thread about the topic located here.

Good luck, canuckcrusiers. If you get this changed, we would appreciate a review about the new program.

Dwayne

I found this excerpt from Carnival's news blog. Since it was officially posted by them, it should be ok to post here as a press release type consideration.

quote:
The new flexible dining pilot program aboard Carnival Legend will in no way replace Carnival’s popular classic dining system which provides a choice of either main or late seating. Under classic dining, guests dine at the same table with service from the same wait staff throughout the full voyage.

Guests will be asked to designate either flexible/open seating or classic, assigned seating prior to departure and their choice will be in effect for the full cruise.

Greetings everyone
Well i managed to contact our Vacation Planner through Carnival and got the meal sitting changed to the new one. Apparently they can change the meal sitting times up to 3 days before you sail.So all is well

Thanks for replying back. This is an entirely different proposition than changing the requested dining times with the Classic Dining, and getting a confirmation. This is going to be new territory. Hopefully more details will emerge. Thanks again, for posting this.
