Leaving on the Liberty on 5/4/08..looking forward to it. Does anyone have anything that might help us have a more enjoyable trip...anything we shouldn't miss onboard.. Thanks.for your replies.
Don't miss the ice show. Have a caipahrina or mojito at Boleros bar and show up when they have the music going. Make a reservation on embarkation day for Portofinos or Chops (or both). Be there for one of the impromptu parades on the promenade. Have a run or ten at the Flowrider.
Oh my goodness, I don't know if I am limber enough for that. It sure looks fun. I wasn't aware that CCL had that. We went Grandsons on the Sensation last month..they would of loved that. Hopefully we can cruise again with them and try that. Thanks for your info...oh and how do you make reservations at those places you mention. Through the purser or go to the restaurants themselves.. Thanks again for your help.
I have looked at CCL web site for the Liberty and can't find anything out about the flow rider. Do you know where I might read something about it on the Liberty her self? thanks again.
I am so sorry! I saw Liberty in your subject and had just been looking at the RCI website and didn't realize I was in the Carnival section and you meant the Carnival Liberty!
(Note to Dave....attention to detail)
I've never been on the Carnival Liberty. No flowrider, no Boleros, no Portofino's or Chops. Forget everything I posted.

Don't miss the dancing shows.
There is a fish and chips place that can be hard to find if you don't know to look for it. That was good. From the main dining area on Lido Deck where they have a display of deserts is a set of stairs, go up to get to the fish and chips place.
Forward on deck 7 I think is a door to an outside deck that is little used. If you don't see it on deck 7 try 8 or 9. It's a nice place to be arriving or leaving a port.
Spa was nice, stone massage or just use the steam and sauna for free.

We were on the Liberty Dec 27 - Jan 3rd (07-08) There is a lot to do. But as far as what no to miss? 1. Don't miss lobster night and remember you can have as many tails as you can eat. (I had 4!) 2. Dress up for formal nights and get photos taken. Some are very good and worth the cost. 3. Don't miss the sushi bar in the promenade as it only lasts each evening from about 5 pm to 7pm 4. Don't miss the past cruise guest reception of free drinks and hors dvors. 5. Book your own tours via the internet rather than going on the ship sponsored excursions.
I could go on and on. Ask anything in particula and I will answer.

Well well well I will be joining you on this very same Ship on the same day isn't that special, Spiritfilled and Sue R. cruising at the same time on the same ship and members of the same forum, I know i got carried away but I just thought I would have some fun, well see you on the ship, I will be wearing a pink T-shirt and blue jean shorts with pink and white sneakers and a pink cap on embarkation day.
Spiritfilled and Sue, you both should agree on a time and place to meet and say hello to each other. I would hate for two members to miss each other. It is a big ship!

Spiritfilled, did you not go on the RCI Freedom last year? If this is you, I see you have changed your Id by an I. Let us know after you come back and tell us how these two ships compare to each other. It's nice to see you back and posting. I had gone awol also.
Grandeur of the Seas 3/05 Majesty of the Seas 9/05 Carnival Victory 5/06 Carnival Glory 9/06 Mariner of the Seas 5/07 Freedom of the Seas 9/07 Sovereign of the Seas 2/08 Enchantment of the Seas 4/08
We have to pick up Sisterand her hubbby at FT. Lauderdale airport before going to ship..but we will be in the casino.....way to much. I am the old broad at the poker machines hahah...Hope to see you there.... I can't wait for this trip. Been awhile since I have seen my sister. I can't believe you know what you are wearing already! You must really organized! Take care and hope to see you. Thanks for the tips everyone.
The Fish n Chips that CruiseDad mentioned is really good, and a better place to enjoy lunch than the main Lido dining area. If you don't know to look for it, you most likely will never see it. It is on Panorama Deck 10. Take the steps in the aft part of the Lido dining area that is on deck 9.
