WOW LHP you are quite the cruiser! This will be my 3rd cruise w/ Carnival and thank you for the heads up on the crew I will be sure to write this down so that I know who you were talking about when they introduce themselves.
We don't have any excursions lined up as of yet, but are going to before the cruise sets or maybe on the ship if we don't have time before. We will def have to meet up to say hi when we are on there all week! Glad to hear it is a beautiful ship. This is my third cruise, I have sailed Carnival Triumph and Valor. Can't wait to try this one! Are there generally a lot of people that cruise this time of year for us single guys to meet? I have only been in October and that was a nice month. TTYL
Hi Sky. DH and I have lined up a horseback ride on the beach with a ride in the surf for Grand Cayman and are lined up with Coral Breeze for the stingray/nurse shark snorkle in Belize. We will probably take the Xcaret Eco water park trip through Carnival for our Cozumel tour. In Costa Maya we will just stay at the pier. They have a wonderful chikee hut with great food and a swim up bar.
I have been chatting with some others on this sailing through a different cruise chat site. There are about 6 younger (mid-20s to mid-30s) and about 4 older (late 40s to mid-60s) chatting on that rollcall. I haven't been part of the single scene for a while, so not sure how many singles are on the ship. We are usually in the casino or one of the quieter bars. But, I'm sure the ship will be full of happy people.
Have you been on a Western Caribbean cruise yet? There are some great things to do.

Tell Adam his "cruise Mom" said hi! (His Mom and I are the same age...so he and I bonded.) He had a cold on our cruise and I was making sure he went to get some meds from the doctor and drank lots of liquids etc. Fortunately, I had some of those shower vapor tablets that make a wonderful "sauna" in your shower. It really helps open your sinuses up before you go to sleep so you can get some good rest.
I have a special needs child and I always look like a pharmacy whenever we travel!
Everyone was talking about the cave tubing in Belize. That seems to be the "thing to do". We are restricted as to what we can do, so we just spent some time at the pier *inside the fence*.
I did get to talk with a wonderful older gentleman named Gilly Young. He is a tour operator that is allowed inside the fence.
We are going to get him to put together a custom tour that our son can do when we go back in 2007.
Another tip: There is the nicest young man from Nepal who worked the deli every day we were on board. I am so sorry that I did not get his name. Every day he would greet us with the best smile and up beat attitude. It was like a little ray of sunshine. I love their grilled reubens...but I only like 1/2 the amount of corn beef they put on there. And it took me awhile to get him to understand that I only wanted "half the meat" and not "half a sandwich". It was our running joke the rest of the cruise, since I ate "several" a day.
Have a wonderful time. And do the Legends Show if you get the chance. It is a great experience.

I am sure we will def do the cave tubing and I have an itch to do the atv also. I as well will be int he casino a bit as I love me some Roulette I will probably spend the majority of my time basking in the sun on the at sea days and then in the piano bar and club at night looking for some cool single people to hang with. Not that hanging with couples isn't cool bc both other times we made an array of friends no matter status or age! Well 5 more days, getting excited now!
LHP,
Thank you for the info, I will be sure to try the cave tubing and also see the Legends show.
