I believe I've been booked into 6277 on the CARNIVAL LEGEND and I see it is right on the elevator.

Any experience with this? Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Hi Michael, is your cabin a catagory 9 and did you purchase maybe a catagory 8 Guarantee? If that is the case you have received an upgrade. Can't tell you about the elevators, but I would guess that it is soundproof from the back of the elevators. You stated that you believe you have been booked into this cabin, you don't know this for a fact as of yet? If you have any concerns contact your travel agent and get them to find out if you have been upgraded, and to get you the specifics on this particular cabin.

We have been in cabins, never cruised the Legend however, that backed up to the elevators. No problem, we didn't hear them at all, and it was super convenient!

My cabin IS a catagory 9, and I DID book a catagory 8 guarantee! How'd you know! On the ticket they sent me, however, it shows me as booked into cabin 6277, which on the deck map looks like a palacial suite!

Because it's a guarantee, however, am I correct in assuming that I might not BE in that cabin come cruise time?

You are in that cabin. A guarantee means you don't get a cabin assignment at the time that you book your cruise. But once they do assign you to a cabin, it's yours!

Enjoy!

Congratulations!! Great upgrade...and the Catagory 9's are larger than the 8's.

You asked me how I knew that....I have seen it happen before with my clients..lol...I love to see a great upgrade..Did you book directly with Carnival or through a Travel Agent?

Booked through Carnival as a 8A Guarantee.

I am getting way too excited. First cruise, turning 40, and I cannot WAIT!

Well... I can wait for 40.....

My daughters shared a room backed up to the elevator, they said they did not hear a thing.
