We are leaving on a cruise to Mexico (our first) and one of the women in our party will be 26 weeks pregnant. I know the policy is no one 27 weeks or more will be allowed to go. My question is: will they give her a hard time at the time of boarding? Will she need a Dr's note or anything official?

Thanks in advance for any advice you could send my way.

It would make sense to get a DR's note. It would probably be more reassuring to the passenger to have a letter stating how far along she is and that it was ok to travel. Plus she would have proof she meets the guidelines is there were any questions asked.

I would get a note to be on the safe side but I cruised with Carnival when I was 26 wks pregnant and they never asked for anything or gave me a hard time. Word of advice...if your friend is planning on drinking any non alcholic mixed drinks make sure she watches the bartender make them. Sometimes they dont under stand what you mean when you say "virgin" and because most of them are from diffrent cultures they dont always see the harm that alcohol can cause in pregnancy. Hope this helps

My daughter inlaw was 26 weeks on our cruise 2 years ago, she had her dr. papers with her just in case, nobody asked for the papers or said a word to her the whole cruise.
