Julie- I'm watching for storms too. We leave the 7th on the NCL Dream. Sorry we are not on the Conquest with you. You will have a wonderful time, we went on the Conquest last October. She's a great ship. Visit the piano bar, lots of fun, though its sounds lame. You have to go late (like 11PM or so before it really gets rocking)

Hi Jim. I heard the Dream was a great ship. I actually was on the Conquest last year in Oct. Had a blast so we are going again. The bars were fun and of course, most of my evenings were spent at the craps table. Have a great time on your cruise. Be sure to try the Belekin (not sure how to spell) beer in Belize. It is great.

OK.. WHEN did you go last October. ALL of my evenings were spent at the craps table, so I tink I would have met you if we were on the same week. We went during the week of Oct 02.. which was the Texas school, fall break..

I do not remember a Julie, so maybe you were on a differnt week then me.

Its a small world I guess. I hope the Dream is a fun cruise. I don't need a fancy pants ship, but I do need one that has a fun loving attitude.

That is Wild! We were on it the same time. Keller ISD fall break. I was the blonde there most every night. Sometimes I was loud, depending on how many drinks I had before I came down. I met several of the "gamblers" there every night. Even saw a guy in his bath robe on a slot!! Did you happen to stay at the Moody Gardens the night before? I met several people there before we even left. Were you at Margaritaville by chance last year?

Julie, SanDee- Well, we are all from Keller then. Wow .. what a small world indeed. I must have met you Julie.. I was on the table every night too. We probably were cheering each other on because I am a loud Craps player too. (Wasn't me in the bath robe though.) I did very well that cruise.. I came off the ship only having paid about $200 for our cruise! I'm trying the Dream this time, but since it looks like NCL is pulling out of Houston after this season, it will most likely be back to CCL next year. (Unless RCCL brings in a Voyager class ship which I believe they are planning). Of course that all depends on what the school calendar does. The wife teaches in KISD, so we are at the mearcy of the school breaks.

Have a great time! We will have to help each other on the dice throwing via metal telepathy though... Think 9's... my favorite point...

Hi Jim.
Enjoy the cruise this year because next year we will not have a Fall Break. That really sucks. On craps,I will be betting on the 6. That is my lucky number! Have a great time and let me know how the Dream is in comparison to the Conquest.

JulieK- Only 8 more days (10 more for you) before we are off and cruising! Time to start doing some serious packing/planning. I guess that means i need to get the suitcases out (I hate to do that since it FREAKS out the dog)

Yahooo!! Wave

Jim,

That is so funny about the suitcases and the dog. It Freaks the family cat out too, he runs and hides and acts weird. They apparently are smarter than we think sometimes?

Hi Jim,
Same thing here with the dogs. They start ignoring me and start moping around the house. I cannot get suitcases out until the day before! We are actually leaving next Friday and are doing 2 nights in Galveston. The kids are dying to go to the Sclitterbaun there. Good luck on your craps game..I am feeling the luck.
DHenry, I am on the Spa deck(11).

Wow, I thought it was just our pets. Or dog does the same thing.. I bring the suitcases into the house and the dog gets a look on her face like she just got yelled at for something. The cat ... well the cat acts like we don't exist anyway, so its hard to tell.

Julie- We are going down Friday too. But since we are going NCL, we are in Houston for the night. I didn't know that Galveston had a Schlitterbaun. That will be fun. And you are doing the Spa Deck again eh? I think if we were doing the Conquest again, that would be my choice, I really liked those floor to ceiling windows. And good luck on your craps game too. Maybe having the both of us out there floating around hoping for "no sevens" will bring good Karma to the Caribbean. Have a good trip!

I bet we could all tell stories about our pets knowing we are leaving. I have three little dogs. We will be gone from home 23 days. I have found a lady to stay at the house with them at night. They will be fine during the day. Puppy door and fenced in yard. I am getting so anxious, I may sleep in my suitcase. My husband has been on one cruise and it trying to keep me settled down!! Lol

I wish there was someway to bring the critters along, but the logistics of a pet friendly cruise are probably beyond reason.

We would need some form of Pet Passports and all.. And all those pets looking for a place to do there business would be heck on the minature gold course Eek

Jim,

The pet friendly cruise would be a hit I think. ALthough my husband said that is the best part of his trip not having to deal w/the animals! I have them spoiled rotten. Anyhow, if you are in Houston you should go to Sclitterbaun, although it is only open on weekends and you leave on Sat. It is new this year and is next door to the Moody Gardens. They have a convertible roof where it is open year round and the pools are heated from Sept 30-April sometime. It sounds pretty cool so we will definately check it out. I enjoyed the spa deck so we actually have the room next door to where we stayed last year. You cannot beat the view. I hope you have a fun cruise and we will have to compare notes when we get back. Hopefully we will both win enough money to have our trip paid for.
