How different is the weather the end of November and first week of December in the Caribbean?? I know it may be cooler here in Southeast Texas by then...maybe...but what about out in the Gulf or in the Caribbean? Will I need a sleeve on deck at night or even a light jacket? I'm generally pretty warm natured, but I want to be prepared! And do the seas tend to be smoother or rougher, or is that a continual guessing game?

I'd bring a light jacket or sweater.

Good to know about the evenings. So looking forward to setting on the balcony in the evening. We are leaving Galvaston on Nov 26th on the Conquest. Getting close Smile

We just got back from a Western Caribbean cruise (1st week of Sept). It was very hot on land every port. . .I wish I had had a sweater or light jacket, not so much because it was too cool while we were outside on deck at night, but because a lot of the ship (the theater, bars, casino, etc) was FREEZING 1/2 the time.

That's the first thing I'm packing for my Nov. cruise.

annies, as to the Seas part of your question. Will be out of Hurricane season by then. And is a guessing game about weather in general if will be any storms etc. I would take a jacket and a windbreaker. I have left Port Canaveral and was warm and found the last night was getting chilly/windy coming back. So I started taking one. Is funny I have left the caribbean being 98 and got home and been 58..with a sunburn Smile

The last time we sailed during Thanksgiving from New Orleans, everything was fine weather wise (as much of it as I remember ~ not from alcohol...old age)

Have a wonderful cruise!

LHP, You remember quite well, and are a wealth of information Smile And I want to ask you about the new Platinum Concierge Check In when you get back. I spoke with Carnival and they are still implementing some of it.

annies, It does get really windy on the open decks when at sea, so is a wise move Smile

Best to you both,
IslandCruz
