1. I've read a few posts that mentioned prices dropping and refunds. How do we know if the price we booked is more than the current price? Is there a website with current prices? I assume Carnival won't just call us and let us know... 2. If we put a couple bottles of alcohol in our luggage to bring aboard, is this an issue with FAA or the Ship? With the hightened awarenss about liquids on planes, does anyone have any updated info? 3. We would like to dine in the upscale restaraunt 1 night, can we book a time before sailing?
If you booked through a Travel Agent then ask her to check on the price for you. If you booked elsewhere then call Carnival and ask them. The TSA website will tell you everything you need to know about the rules for the planes. www.tsa.gov . You can make reservations for the speciality restaurant as soon as you board the ship. Sometimes they are set up right in the area where you board to take reservations. Or you could check directly at the restaurant.
as far as the booze... I just... I mean I heard that a friend of mine just went to a liquor store near the port, rather than deal with the TSA and the airlines.

That was a great answer and post in my humble opinion. Dang, your good
mrsbam,
Carry on wine is acceptable if limited, No other Alcohol if detected in carry on will get by at the cruise terminal security check. If is in your checked luggage and the Airline approves of how it is packed and less than a certain amount of content, I think 150 it will be fine for checked luggage.

Personally, I would not put liquor in a suitcase that is going to be handled by airline baggage people. Just to much chance of it being broken. Even putting it in a suitcase to the checked onto the ship is risky...you had better have it padded like the dickens in a hardsided case. You can order liquor by calling Carnival and have the bottle waiting in your room.
That way you don't have the threat of it busting and ruining all your clothing and it is legal.
