I am cruising on the Miracle in a couple of weeks and am wondering about the quality of the Golf Professional and lessons onboard the ship. I read some questionable things about the golf pro, but the reviews were very old (say 8 months). I know that probably means there is a new person.
Has anybody played golf onboard lately? What was their experience? And how are the courses?
That the golf cage was getting some use....but maybe I'll have better luck with someone who gets off this week.
I'm curious about the professionalism/skill of the pro? I golf a fair bit. I did learn that its a "she" (which seems more common than I would have thought on these ships).
What are the courses like? And the lessons? Anyone? Bueller?
Though tempted, I have never tried the golf on a cruise. (Except for the putting contests.) So I can't answer your question. I have thought about going and playing golf during a port stop, but the cost seemed high and I would have to rent equipment (don't feel like dragging my clubs along for a golf game)
But, it is an option. On the Conquest, the pro was male. Not that it matters much in my book, but as you said, if the review was 8 months old, it is very possible that there is a different pro on ship now.
