Let's be fair here. The OP was not all negative. They did say some good things about the cruise.

the poster has not answered my question about the room, was it just not what she expected or was carnival at fault.
The poster has posted all of 1 post on this site so I am not sure I would value her opinion as much as I would someone who post several or bunches of post.
I also know that there are some people who you just can not make happy.

I agree with you that is why I stated what I did in my previous post. I looked to see how many times this person posted and when they joined. It just seems like to me they joined to put that post out there and I bet we never see another post from them. Mark my word..........

I say stick to one that never let you down, that is why we only sail with Celebrity. No surprises.

jan if you stick to celebrity then you can not judge a carnival cruise. that is totally unfair. I have never cruised another line so I can say one way or the other how they compare.

David I agree that the poster did say nice things but, they did say "never again". How bad could it have been.
I personally dont think there is such thing as a bad cruise, not even to the point of "never again with that cruise line"
I just think she was no happy and nothing would have made them happy.

Our first cruise in 1995 was on the old Carnival Jubilee. It was way too noisy, way too loud, had way too many kids.... that being said, I loved the cruise and cruising. Unless there is some overwhelming reason to do so, I most likely will not sail on Carnival again...I have found that I like smaller, quiter ships with an older crowd. As I said someplace else - to each his or her own... That's why there are so many cruise options.

As has been said before in this forum, and on numerous times, today's Carnival bears little resemblance to the Carnival of 10 years ago.

Joe Frcus is one messed up guy. I did enjoy my experience and the price is unbeatable. But the colors were out there and the cruise staff went out of their way to make the cruise worse. They were better by the end but thatw as because they got another week done. Our rooms were noisy as heck and they stuck us in a handicapped cabin without telling us. The Purser's desk refused to let us speak with anyone else and laughed in our faces. I was satisfyed with my last Carnival cruise as it was very nice and fun. But this time I was disenchanted. They do some things very good but can't be compared to Princess or RCI. I can see that you are loyal Carnival guests but I guess I'm just not a fan of rude staff, gaudy ships and unproffessional staff. But they did do some things right and I loved the ports, ocean and sun.

Yes Carnival has gotten better and it depends what you book. I was just disenchanted by this cruise and will stick to a different cruise line. but I did love my cruise on the Carnival Liberty in 2007 and made me consider going back. But the Valor it self was nice but I would try not to do carnival again.
