The Fish and Chip place on the Carnival Liberty is it extra and if so what is the prices. I am getting excited about my cruise and doing my research and getting my unknown questions asked from my friends at cruise chat. This is only my second cruise of course on a newer ship so I have new questions that I need answered for my next cruise adventure so just bare with me
The Fish and Chips are is on the top floor of the buffet style restaurant. No, there was not an extra charge for it.

I agree, was my favorite lunch area on Glory. Alot of people don't even know it's there. I don't like going through the buffet line for lunch. I eat lite for lunch, so would get myself a deli sandwich and head up for a piece of fish and a less crowded area with a great view

There is no charge for the Fish & Chips. You will enjoy them, they are great. This is one of our favorite things to eat on the larger ships.
I am sorry, I don't even know why one would want vinegar for fish. I use it to put in potato salad, a splash for deviled eggs, and to pickle eggs for Easter, and a healthy dose for my collards! No offense at all, but what does vinegar have to do with fish?

Hi! As others have said it is not extra. It is very good. The guy who makes pizza told me to make sure I go up and check out the fish and chips. I was glad I listened. It is very good.
Mushy Peas are dried marrowfat peas that are boiled in water till soft the water will evaporate and leave you with a delicious lumpy green pea sludge like green mashed potatoes, it is also a textural thing the soft peas the crispy fish and chips the sharp bite of the vinegar this was the original fast food in the U K I no the peas sound strange but until I tried maple syrup on egg bacon and pancakes I felt the same kalo taxidi

OK, I am going to pick up some Malt Vinegar and give this a try. I am surprised I have never heard of it, some parts of my family tree are English. I always wondered why they give you the packs of vinegar at Long John Silver's, I thought it was for your cole slaw

Be sure to use the Malt Vinager on the chips, not the fish. And the Fish and Chips spot also has other fish as well. The Oysters were very strong, not my cup of tea, they also had mussels and other fish in a broth of some sort that people raved about. And it is all included in your fare, so eat up and try everything
Billy, I am thinking the same thing. I am going to get some big "prawns" and put them on the barbie this weekend. Wifey said we could splurge this one time, and she is getting fresh flounder and some blue crabs!
I am going to be dipping my prawns in cocktail sauce, slopping some tarter sauce on the fish, and dipping the crabs in drawn butter
Oopps, and some Malt Vinegar on my chips

IslandCruz-I made sure I used the Malt Vinegar-it was my first time-It was, to say the least-a whole new dining experience!! From this thread I am learnin' cruisin' and cuisine!! Good thing you have all advised about the chips!!
Does the Triumph have this epicurean delight, also are we discussing the same thing, the fish, it should be a fillet of white fish, haddock, cod, ect, the coating or batter should be light and crispy, a mixture of flour and water, fizzy water ice cold makes a good batter, like tempura, it should be then plunged into hot oil, in Yorkshire it is traditional to use beef dripping to fry the fish and chips, not my cup of tea! the malt vinegar is amust both on the fish and chips and mushy peas to cut through any residual greasyness talking of tea it is the only time I would drink it,a must is also a plate ofthe cheapest white sandwich bread coated liberaly with butter you then take some of your chips place them between the two slices of white bread, the Chip Butty has then been created,I am only allowed this type of food when my wifes grip relaxes on holiday, make my day and tell me some of this exists on the Triumph. Kalo Taxidi
I don't think the Triumph has the fish and chips. . . .The Victory, its sister ship, doesn't. I was pretty disappointed to see that as the Valor had them. I don't eat fish, but I loved the chips.
Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so as I checked the deck plans and didn't see the FC anywhere.
