Can anyone give advice on what is a good balcony on the destiny? I chose mid ship, port side, upper deck. Seems like a little low...what do you think? Balconys on the back are bigger...would that be a good choice or would it be to rock and roll? Thanx for help
I was on the Legend last year and we chose the deck below the lido and were at the back. It was great no problems. We are the Destiny this year and have gone for the same below lido at back. Nice height up and beautiful view as you leave the ports and can see the wash of the ship behind you. FANTASTIC.
pschaafs I moved up to the Empress also. I thought the suites are there and they are sandwiched between two floors of cabins so it should be good. Right now it is the first cabin on port side, but think that is to far forward? What shore excursions did you take? When we go we won't be able to go to St Lucia or Antiqua as they have changed the iternary which I'm still not happy about. (That is a whole other story) Scarlet we took the Verandah on the Pride also and it was very quite. Nice to be one floor down from the food...tee hee.
Well I have cruise in Carnival Destiny great ship!!! , cabin 6321 it was a Midship. Believe me, Destiny is a small ship compared with the royal class of Royal Caribbean and for all I know the Caribbean water can make the ship “dance” a little when is at sea. So it depends if you don’t want to be sea sick I recommend a midship and the higher you can get it the better. I will travel again with carnival Destiny this summer YEAH!!!!! As I told you on my advice, to get a midship cabin, I also follow it. Now I have an 8 floor cabin in the midship reserved for this summer. Remember that if you travel in the past with carnival, call them!! I call them during February, I gave them my past guest number and they offer me a great deal. I paid for the cheaper balcony cabin and the upgrade it to the floor 8 for the same price…Enjoy your cruise
Yep doesn't surprise me that the best of the snorkling Carnival took off. I was so excited to visit these islands. Now we got Santo Dimengo for two days and once the ship comes in at 3:00 pm; then they have to dock and you get off the ship all the shore excursions are over, except for the bars. Great port hunh? The next day when you have time there is some things to do. I'm still waiting to see what they come up with on that Saturday before I cancel. (what my carnival planner suggest) Oh yeah there is Kitts and the best I could come up there is a train ride around the island.
