I just got back from sailing the Miracle and it is not my favorite ship. I was very disappointed in the disco "Frankenstein's Lab." It is a two floor disco. In order to get to the dance floor, you had to go down a flight of stairs. Also, be careful near the bar there are two stairs that are hard to see because of the lighting. The design of the disco is an accident waiting to happen. How do I know? Not even a drink and I fell near the bar and split my knee open and had to get stitches! It was a Miracle I didn't break anything. No more Miracle for me.
Sorry to hear about your mishap. Unfortunately, accidents can happen on any stair case, disco or not. It can be extremely dangerous on the stair cases by the pool area when they get wet. All ships are full of stairs, so this is a good time to remind everyone to always use caution.
Other than the fall and Disco, I hope you enjoyed the rest of your cruise. I have been on the Miracle twice and enjoyed both times. The Beatles tribute show was fabulous.
Aside from the fall, I really did enjoy my cruise. I was able to get the waiter I wanted, was upgraded, got shipboard credit and a whole bunch of other "stuff." However, I will not cruise on the Miracle again because I did not like the disco and I really do go to dance so this was a great disappointment.
We were not able to go to Costa Rica because of an impending strike. We went to Rotan instead. I enjoyed relaxing with my friend and having a few drinks while listening to soca music.
Oh, that's a bummer...the Miracle has been my favorite ship so far.

Try the Spirit next time... same class of ship so the lay out is the same, but the decoration style will be different. I like te Spirit class design, its much easier to get around then on the Conquest style design.
CCL Fantasy 1990 CCL Celebration 1995 CCL Victory 2005 CCL Conquest 2005 CCL Spirit June 2006 NCL Dream October 2006 RCCL Mariner OTS June 2007 CCL Freedom June 2008 CCL Holiday July 2008
Sorry to hear about this as well. This could happen on any ship though. Or any place with spiral stairs. I took a miss-step on the Holiday going down to the Piano Bar one time. I didn't get hurt though. It was embarrassing nonetheless. I still consider the Holiday as one of my favorite ships.

I've been on the Spirit. It is a beautiful ship. I am not a smoker and the casino is located before the dining room, as on the Miracle. So if you have the lower seating and want to avoid the smoke you have to go up one level and down. So far, I like the Fantasy and Destiny class ships.
Also, I would like to mention the $10.00 shop is now the $15.00 shop except for two days and not all items are $10.00 on those day.
And, I did get the "placemat" on the last night of the cruise.
